Editorial Review
Our review of the former Cafe Gray, now closed, follows below:

Open by highly acclaimed Chef Gray Kunz, formerly of four-star rated Lespinasse in the St. Regis Hotel, Café Gray offers modern French cuisine with Asian influences and a European flair.

Café Gray is on the third floor of the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle, with spectacular panoramic views of Central Park. It was perhaps a short-sighted fit of narcissism that the best views are reserved for the chef and his staff, for the open kitchen is located between these windows and the main dining room. The message? You are here for the food, not the view.

And indeed Café Gray offers elegant and unobtrusive service that provides a sense of old-world European hospitality in a modern setting. Carefully crafted details characterize every aspect of Café Gray, from the luxurious seating to the open kitchen, and to the beautifully-presented food. The Chef’s legendary Kunzian cuisine is a synthesized approach to seasons, flavors, and aesthetics.
