I went to this place to celebrate my wife's birthday and because my sister-in-law's friend was the chef. Little did we know that he had left the restaurant a few weeks earlier when he had taste and directional differences with the management and owner. The menu was kept the same, but everything went wrong the second we sat down with our party.

They boast a prix fixe menu, but when it came time to order, we were THEN notified that we can only order prix fixe for parties of 5 or less (it's not written anywhere). And then snidely, the waiter said that that's the reason why the manager was fired because he was giving food away.

When we finally ordered, the appetizers were fairly decent. And then the same waiter came out to tell us that half of the dishes that our party ordered was not available because they no longer had those items. They made a few suggestions and we re-ordered. In pa...

Beautiful and comfortable setting...An unexpected but lucky find in the heart of Chinatown. Portions are very generous and the food is delicious. The service is great, and of course, try the calamari.

I was one of a party of seven and though there was nothing negative to be said about any of the dishes we had, the one that really stuck out was the calamari. None of us realized it could taste that good.

Recommended Dishes:

* Appetizers - Calamari, Braised Beef Lollipops, Shrimp a l'orange
* Entrees - Crispy Spaghetti w/mozzarella meatballs, Seafood Risotto, and the potroast
* Dessert - Lychee Tart, Strawberry shortcake (I wasn't expecting this one to be good because its shortcake, and shortcake is shortcake, ya know?)

The restaurant is well-decorated yet down to earth and comfortable like a bistro should be and it's kind of fun to tell people you know a place like this in, of all places, Chinatown. Woo hoo!

Took my family there for dinner. Everyone of them said it was the "best frikkin' meal" they ever had. Appetizers - try the calamari, the lobster tacos or the beef lollipops. Entres - go for the sea bass, the pan-fried cod, the baby-back ribs, the rib-eye or the crispy spaghetti. Dessert - first choice is the chocolate volcano, but the Asian pear pie was fabulous too. We will be back many times.
