Has anyone seen this production of Sweeney Todd With Patti Lupone? I've seen many productions & the original with Angela Landsbury here in NYC but holy s***, I felt like I was at a high school play last night.......I understand the minimalistic approach they were trying to accomplish but they took a show with originally (100?) people & a FULL orchestra and a SET and clipped it down to 10 people who each play 2-3 instruments..so not only are they doing the musical but their playing the music......so just picture Patti Lupone playing the TUBA!!!...she does it well as do all the other actors but f*** me!!.....who the hell wants to see Patti Lupone play a tuba?.......it's a demanding mus...
