A nearly perfect production with a spectacular cast that both sings and plays their instruments. The concentration of talent is astounding and the concept of performers playing their instruments comes out naturally and not gimmicky at all. The story is not for fainthearted, so one has to come in the right frame of mind for this deliciously dark production. Normally I am not a big fan of the musicals, but this one kept me on the edge of the seat all night long. This is what New York Theater should be like.
