EAT THIS BOOK PARTY
Contrary to a recent article in the New York Times, book parties are NOT over. Plus, book parties do not have to be stuffy or boring, especially if the book is about competitive eating and cupcakes are being served at a rooftop bar. Ryan Nerz will be celebrating the release of Eat This Book: A Year of Gorging and Glory on the Competitive Eating Circuit with a party this Wednesday at The Delancey. Cupcakes will be served and spontaneous eating contest may break out. Plus, a burlesque performance by Dottie Luxe.

The party, aptly named “The Best Prom Ever!” starts at 9pm and there’ll be complimentary drinks(including spiked prom punch!) courtesy of Bacardi Flavors for the first two hours. DJ’s Alex English and Todd Sines will be spinning timeless prom classics and there’ll be lots of prom giveaways as well as prizes for best and worst dressed. In addition we’ll be crowning a prom king and queen (you can nominate anyone you like by emailing me by May 1st) and there will be a prom photo booth and celebrity chaperones – Dylan Lane(Fuse TV host) and notorious party crasher and gossip column favorite Shaggy(yes, he’s actually being invited for a change!). So dust off your old prom dress or tux and join the cast and crew of Prom Date for drinks and a good laugh or two.

Rude is 3.
A lot happens In 3 years. Transitions and revelations, new faces and a few goodbyes.. And so, as rude reaches another milestone, we have nuff reason to celebrate this coming Tuesday, April 11. Our friends, extended family and the good folks at Puma have come together to grow this humble concept into a strong, dedicated international community, heating up APT each and every second Tuesday.
To show our appreciation for all your support, we’ve put together a party worthy of such an auspicious occasion; a proper rude throwdown. And who better to help orchestrate dancefloor maneuvers than Stockholm’s Mad Mats, the man behind the unstoppable Raw Fusion and Jugglin’ labels, as well as the long running Raw Fusion club night. Get down early (for the premium open bar), and stay late with Karl, Tyler, Tchaiko, Ibrahim, Dustin and the full rude crew for an unabashed (and bass-heavy) 3rd Anniversary Jam...
Upstairs it’s Hasmojazz, with rude selector Cool Gypsy Bogdan dropping heavies all night long.
$7 with RSVP / $10 Door. Premium Open Bar 9p-10p (Downstairs).

Go for a natural high by sitting your ass in front of Warhol's Screen Tests, the legendary series of cinematic portraits -- a series of silent, four-minute, black-and-white films shot from 1964 to 1966, rarely shown since Warhol withdrew them from circulation in the early 1970s.
