FOR MORE ASPIRATIONAL PARTYCRASHERS...
New York Junior League Annual Winter Ball 3/4/2006
cocktails, silent auciton, dinner, awards and dancing
7pm
Cipriani
42nd Street City
212 288-6220
The most anticipated evening of the NYJL calendar year has finally arrived. Winter Ball 2006, "Circo", will transport guests from the luxurious Cipriani Ballroom to the ideal getaway evening. March 4, 2006 marks the 54th Annual Winter Ball and will celebrate the achievements of the NYJL. We honor our Outstanding Sustainers and Outstanding Volunteers: Pamela J. Sheiffer, Brenda Neubauer Straus, Cheryl L.Bundy, Mari Terese Dubois, Jeannie Egas-Trouveroy, Marion S. Hedges, and Melissa Richards.
More than 750 guests are expected to attend the black tie gala, which will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by the awards presentation and a seated dinner. Guests will dance the night away with music by the Alex Donner Orchestra. Winter Ball 2006 "Circo" will also feature superb silent auction items, including designer jewelry, domestic and international travel packages, sports and memorabilia items, health and beauty items and gift certificates for dinner at world-renowned restaurants. You may bid on a golf package from the famous Druid Glen Golf Resort in Ireland, or a luxurious bath basket from Barielle including certificates for massage services. If you are interested in jewelry, there is a beautiful amethyst necklace by Jennifer Lynn and a stunning pearl pendant from Mikimoto. There is something for everyone at this year’s Silent Auction! Proceeds from the auction will benefit the New York Junior League’s charitable programs.
Also adding to the excitement of the evening, one lucky raffle winner and a guest win the once-in-a-lifetime experience of travel about the Queen Mary II, courtesy of the Travel Siblings, Harlan and Kara of Valerie Wilson Travel and Cunard. The trip includes transatlantic crossing for two from New York to England (or the other direction), and a one way airfare for two back to your original destination. While in London, the winner and their guest will spend two nights at the fivestar hotel, The Stafford, and a one night stay at the five-star Chewton Glen Hotel, Spa and Country Club, near Southampton, England where the famous ocean liner docks. Blackout dates and some restrictions apply. Tickets, priced at $20 each, $50 for a book of three will be available at the check-in tables the evening of the ball.
