blipsters converge and unite!

Okay Freshie, just for you- Here it is, Thursday, our Thursday is upon us. The afternoon in which I head out to do battle with the galleries, hipsters and blipsters of this city. The location? Once again all will converge upon the over wrought and often underwhelming Chelsea. Not that I have anything against the actual area of the city, but when I say ‘Chelsea’ I really mean the coagulated glut of cute little galleries in the region.
I don’t know if anyone else out there subscribes to (and actually reads) ARTKRUSH see http://www.artkrush.com to subscribe to what has grown into over the past few years a pretty substantial resource and info portal with some decent writers and pretty pictures. (God I wish i was Julie Mehretu! Seriously though I think her work IS great)I tend not to take too much notice of what they say though especially before 10am; it can lead to severe bouts of depression and performance anxiety. God, why does it seem like everyone else out there is having a bonny old time of it, just jim fucking dandy isn’t it to see all of you fine feathered art fuckers out there just getting it on with your brilliant bloody careers. Hats off, Kudos and big golf claps to all you Whitney Biennale Kids. Is that the only measure of success in this town? (ohh, that and a show at Krepps maybe) Is that all there is to a career, Is that ALL there is? If that’s ALL there is my friend then let’s keep dancing, lets break out the blow and have a ball!
Sorry side tracked, all I meant to say in this pre 10 am rant was that tonight I expect to be thoroughly disgusted but the trash and vaudeville finger painting I’m bound to encounter from 6 –8pm. Just Kidding! It's all fun and games, there is actually a pretty good chance that I’ll see some outstanding work this evening because some of the best little galleries in the city happen to be opening this eve. Will post it all tomorrow hopefully.
