Javits Center: I Can Haz Sign Fixed?

Five weeks after we first noticed the broken jumbotron outside the Javits Center, New York City's largest conference space, it would appear the brilliant minds managing this august institution have still not managed to find a competent repair company. Perhaps they might either browse NYC.com's Yellow Pages under "repair" or simply ask LOLCats 4 help? Srsly! K thx bye.

Jean Nouvel's forthcoming über-luxurious condos on the West Side Highway at 100 Eleventh Avenue are still under construction and massively over budget to the tune of $50 million, as reported last week by the Wall Street Journal. While the penthouse and upper-floor living rooms will ironically have a view of the rooftop exercise deck of the women's Bayview State Penitentiary located right next door, it's nice to know for $8 million your condo gets a golden glow in late August.

For the next three Saturdays, the new Summer Streets program features a car-free Lafayette Street, Fourth and Park Avenues from 7 am to 1 pm. Get free coffee, water bottles, even a massage—there are comfort stations all along the route. You'll get a kick out of wandering around the Park Avenue viaduct and have your photo taken with the Cornelius Vanderbilt statue in front of Grand Central.
