Tribute bands are very common these days, with original members from bands such as the Doors and the Who performing without some of the members that made them household names. Jimi Hendrix has been gone for almost forty years, but his original band mates drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Billy Cox have put together a stellar line-up to pay homage to the late guitarist. Along with guitarists Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Eric Johnson, the group stops at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan on Tuesday October 21st.
