Cobble Hill may often get mistaken for its big brother, Brooklyn Heights, but it's unquestionably a neighborhood with its own charm and style. The dueling main streets of Court and Smith offer a wealth of shops and restaurants of every stripe and style, including many family-run shops and markets. No longer lumped together with Carroll Gardens and Park Slope as "South Brooklyn," Cobble Hill has reconstructed the old Cobble Hill Park and remodeled many of the historic Italianate brownstones that have defined the look and atmosphere of the neighborhood over the years.
