AC Gears
(212) 260-2269
69 E 8th St,
New York, NY, 10003
A boutique gadget store smack-dab in Greenwich Village, AC Gears is everything you can imagine, serving foreign electronics, strange robots, cameras, toys, and a lab-coat white paintjob that makes the place look more like a mad scientist's lair than a gadget store.
Apple Store - Fifth Avenue
(212) 336-1440
767 Fifth Avenue,
New York, NY, 10153
New to the city that never sleeps is the Apple store that never sleeps. The massive underground store open 24/7/365 is marked by a sleek glass cube at the plaza in front of the drab GM building on Fifth Avenue, a dramatic setting that symbolizes the old tech vs. new tech dichotomy. Indeed, the soaring glass cube, each face more than 30 feet, marks new territory for Apple, which before the introduction of its beloved iPod almost went to the brink. Seems intuitive that the Big Apple gets the biggest Apple Store, right?

420 9th Ave,
New York, NY, 10001
One of the best places in New York to find whatever photographic equipment or video accessories you could possibly need—and some you probably didn't know you wanted, the B&H Superstore is wall-to-wall with every grade of visual technology at great prices.
