In Nov. 2007, we visited to ask questions of the Imam about us getting married. I am Christian & my husband is Muslim. It is difficult to find an Imam who is educated enough in the Quran & the Holy Bible to understand that it is not haram(more or less not allowed or against Islam) for people of these 2 religions to marry & perform the ceremony. They are both "People of the Book", starting from the same origins & believing in the same God(i.e. of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob), therefore it is acceptable even if not recommended for a Muslim male to marry a Christian femal...
